Where do I begin? There is so much I could write and tell about my "Sweet Life". First off, you may be wondering why I keep typing the quotations around Sweet Life. So here is a little bit about myself and the explanation of the "Sweet Life". March 29, 2011 my life changed forever. I got married. I married my best friend, my soul mate, my life long partner in crime. His name is Adam. We had a beautiful wedding and to start our marriage off on an awesome note we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon and had a blast! After we came back a week later, I moved my things into a small apartment where he lived in Greensboro, NC making me 3 hours away from my family and knowing no one. I can't make it sound anymore pitiful than that, can I? But I have to admit I agreed to it and at some extremes pushed for it. If I hadn't I probably would still not know how to cook the few dishes I've learned and I wouldn't know what it really meant to be independent. At first, it was lonely not having my girlfriends or family to hang out with at any given moment but after a few weeks I decided to get rid of that "stay at home" wife job and get one that made me my own money. I laugh as I write that because I can remember how relieved my husband was when I told him of my bright idea to venture out into the unknown for a job just so I could quite spending all his money. I had never seen him be so encouraging as he was that day. Also at this point we had found a house to call our own! An adorable little two bedroom, one and a half bath house that we now call our home! So after a couple of days of searching, I came across a hair salon entitled "Dolce Vita Salon" and in Italian Dolce Vita means "The Sweet Life". So I called them to see if they would have any open booths for rent and sure enough they did. I met with the owner, Mary, talked for what seemed like no time, realizing it had been over 3 hours, she offered me the booth and I accepted! It's the best salon in Greensboro! I have made so many friends that I feel like I have known for years. After finding a work place to call home, we also found a church that worshiped freely and the preaching was solid. Lawndale Baptist Church is just the place for anyone to find refuge and strength in the Haven. I can't wait for Sunday mornings to come each week because I can't wait to hear this amazing choir sing and listen to the word preached so understandingly. I never thought life could be this amazing! God has so richly blessed me with wonderful people in my life and I can't wait to see what my future is holding. You may never expect some of the things I might post or some of the topics I choose to blog. Hopefully this has given you a little insight as to why I can call my life "The Sweet Life" and a good laugh for a weary travel on this crazy road we journey called life!
Enjoy the "Sweet Life"
